Keeping the Laptop on while the lid is closed:
Often when a laptop is used with a dock and monitors, the laptop lid will be closed to make more room. However, on default settings a laptop will go to sleep when the lid closes and stop all projection to the monitors. To configure a laptop not to do this, you can go to: Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options\System Settings. You will find that there a lot of different power options. They are located in a grid-like pattern with the options "When I press the power button", "When I press the sleep button", and "When I close the lid" along the left hand side. Each of these options have two conditions listed along the top of the grid: "On battery" and "Plugged in". You will want to set the "Plugged in" condition under the "When I close the lid" option to "Do nothing". This will stop the computer from going to sleep when the lid is closed, and it will instead continue to work and project to the monitors.
Running cycles:
Configuration Manager > Actions
run each action listed. An easy way to get through them all is to hit Alt+R to run it, Enter to get through the dialogue box, and Down Arrow to move to the next option.
Uninstalling a Program:
The Control Panel can also be used to uninstall programs. This is helpful if Settings is not able to to it. To do so, go to: Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features
