Outlook Closing Rather Than Minimizing When Hitting the Minimize Button

Hi! This is not important right now, so feel free to put this on the back burner until finals are over. I wanted to email to get it on the radar. Every time I try to minimize my Outlook app on my work computer, it closes the app instead. I restarted the computer and tried everything I could think of, but it's bizarre. Again, not a huge deal, I'm just leaving it open in the background for now. When you get a chance, let me know if you've ever heard of this happening before. I like to provide weird, bizarre things to keep life interesting.

Outlook may seem to close when minimized because it's configured to hide its icon on the taskbar when minimized. To fix this, you need to change the setting to display the icon in the notification area or taskbar. 
Steps to fix the issue:
 
 
1. Locate the Outlook icon:
When Outlook is running, look for its icon in the system tray (Notification Area) on your taskbar, usually near the clock.
 
2. Right-click the icon:
Right-click the Outlook icon to open a context menu.
 
3. Toggle "Hide When Minimized":

In the context menu, find the option labeled "Hide When Minimized" or similar.

 

4. Uncheck the option:
If the option is checked, uncheck it to display the Outlook icon on the taskbar when minimized.
 
By following these steps, Outlook will now display its icon in the taskbar when minimized, allowing you to easily access it again
