How to Access the Newest J1 Version

 

Do These Steps First to Update the Remote Apps

Instructions

  • Go to the Search Menu located in the bottom left of your screen
  • Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)Type in RemoteApp
  • The following will appear in the Search Menu

  • Click on the option 'RemoteApp and Desktop Connections'
  • A new window will open
  • Select 'View Details' to access the ability to update the remote session

  • Select 'Update Now'

  • Click 'Ok'
  • Close the window
  • The remote session to Jenzabar is now updated

Now You Can Proceed.


 
IMPORTANT: Please note that the OLD version of J1 Desktop will still be pinned on your desktop. This is NOT the new version. Follow the directions below to update your version. If you need assistance, please contact the HelpDesk.

  1. If you have an icon for J1 Desktop pinned to your taskbar (the bottom of your screen) right click and select ‘Unpin from taskbar’. This is removing the OLD version as a link on your taskbar.

          2. Click on the start menu

            3. Select ‘All apps’ to access the full options of programs

             4. Select the Cecil College RemoteApps (RADC) folder and use the arrow on the right side to open the menu

             5. Right click on Jenzabar One Desktop 2024 (Cecil College RemoteApps) > select ‘More’ > select ‘Pin to taskbar’. It will now appear on the taskbar as the old version did.

            6. Click on the J1 icon to open the upgraded version of Jenzabar. A window will appear for you to enter your username and password in order to sign into Jenzabar. Click ‘OK’.

              7. You are now logged into the upgraded J1 Desktop and need to verify on the bottom right screen that you are on the correct Version and database:

IMPORTANT NOTE: If the Database says TmsEPly please contact the HelpDesk.  
 
How to Access InfoMaker if you have a License
 

  1. Click on the start menu

          2. Select ‘All apps’ to access the full options of programsUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
 
          3. Select the Cecil College RemoteApps (RADC) folder and use the arrow on the right side to open the menu

         4. Click on the InfoMaker Configuration Tool for J1 Desktop 2024 (Cecil College RemoteApps). InfoMaker is version 2022

            5. Select the Optional Tab when the Config window opens. Move over the shared Profiles needed for the user (J1 Desktop, Jenzabar EX, Play Database, TmsEPly_HR). Then create shared profile.

        6.  Go to Recommended Tab and ‘Apply All Settings’. Close.

        7. You can now access InfoMaker via J1.
