Intune Deployment of Macs

Initial Setup:

  1. Login with Administrator
  2. Settings > General >Transfer or Reset Machine >Reset Machine
  3. Get Started >Select Language and Region
  4. Remote Management should Cecil College
    1. You need to be connected to the internet
  5. Set time zone
  6. If an option for Apple Intelligence appears, click “set up later”
  7. Select Dark Mode

Rename:

  1. Click the apple logo in the upper left corner
    1. About This Mac > More Info… >Rename
    2. There is no need to restart the computer after renaming it

Update:

  1. Settings >General > Software Update
  2. Check for updates, updated if needed.
    1. The computer may restart.

 

Manually added to the staff group in Intune (Intune Admin only, if you do not have admin privileges, notify Endpoint):

  1. Login to admin.microsoft.com in a new browser
    1. Login with a_ account
  2. Show All > Microsoft Intune > in Overview, where it says tenant, type the Group name you want to add to.
  3. Once in Group, select Members >Add Member >Add the members and then click Select.
  4. Added devices will now pull apps for their specified group
